Coffee to me is more than just a means to an end of waking up: it's an opportunity to give your day a distinct flavor, a distinct bolt of energy. The data part of coffee is what gets me most excited, from aiming for specific percent yields to exact timing for the best possible espresso shot. No day is complete for me without my own coffee of the day.
I build data pipelines for a living, but nothing matches the sense of completeness from overcoming an arduous hike. I'm blessed to have the ability to tackle epic hikes, watching the sunset over the ocean, taking in the serenity that comes from way high up. It's an exercise that ironically keeps me grounded - a reminder of the kind of reward that comes from a difficult journey.
